🛑‼ Most Wanted ‼🛑: The Ice Cream Project
Here’s a shocking secret — my aunt’s ice cream shop, while doing well offline, was stuck in a dark, outdated space. It was confined to the physical world, with no online presence. That reality struck a chord with me — her business was becoming obsolete in a world where digital presence is everything. So, I decided to rebrand it and give it a fresh, modern identity: welcome to Creme Cloud.
The Rebrand: From Apsara to Creme Cloud
The shop’s old name, Apsara, felt disconnected and confined to the past. I wanted something that felt light and dreamy, so I created Creme Cloud. The slogan Cloud Nine Scoops perfectly captures the indulgent, heavenly feeling of eating ice cream.
Why Mobile-First?
With most people searching for treats on their phones, I couldn’t ignore mobile-first design. I didn’t want to compartmentalize the experience by focusing only on desktop, which is becoming obsolete. A mobile-first approach ensures customers can easily explore flavors, find locations, and engage with the brand on the go.
Visual System
Pink is at the core, chosen because of its power in color psychology to attract and comfort. But the design isn’t overwhelming — it’s balanced with black, white, and grey, creating a clean, easy-to-navigate interface:
- #FF6680 (Primary Pink): Bold, playful, and draws in customers.
- Black, White, Grey: Adds contrast and keeps the UI simple, smooth, and user-friendly.
Typography
- CopyDuck (Headers): Bold and quirky, perfect for grabbing attention.
- Urbanist (Body Text): Clean, modern, and easy to read, avoiding clutter.
This typography ensures a balance between fun and professional.
Wireframes & Prototyping
I created and tested the home screen with a focus on key elements: store locations, ice cream flavors, and some irresistible ice cream images. This is only the first look of the design.

SEO & Marketing
The strategy revolves around improving SEO, leveraging Google Ads, and using influencer partnerships to drive traffic and expand Creme Cloud’s reach through social media.
Conclusion
Although Creme Cloud is a fictional project, it’s packed with real-world insights into UI/UX design and branding. I’ve posted a YouTube Video about this UI/UX case study; it’s a walkthrough on this project. And, if you’re curious to see more, visit my LinkedIn, Dribbble, and Behance to see more of my design work!
